When did you start at Immanuel: July 2024
Where did you grow up: Merrill, WI
Hobbies: Officiating high school football, baseball and softball. I enjoy reading about the American Civil War.
Unique talent or fact: In the past I spent summers doing Civil War reenacting/living history both here in the Wisconsin/Minnesota area, but also at some of the national battlefields such as Bull Run, Antietam, Nashville/Franklin, Shiloh and Gettysburg.
Favorite Bible verse: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

When did you start at Immanuel: June 2015
Where did you grow up: On a 240 acre dairy farm east of Goodhue, MN
Hobbies: Walking, golf, technology, playing cards (cribbage anyone?), and fishing
Unique talent or fact: Being a pastor is a second career to me. I was a computer programmer/analyst for 13 years before leaving my job to go to seminary to become a pastor. But I still put those tech skills to work every day.
Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 23:1 "The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want."

LAURA HAACK
When did you start at Immanuel: July 2022
Where did you grow up: I grew up in Lyle, MN until I was 13 and then we moved to Rushford, MN where I lived until I graduated.
Hobbies: Spend time with my family and our two dogs, camping, play music and singing, traveling.
Unique talent or fact: I love to make jewelry and sell at local vending events.
Favorite Bible verse: Ephesians 2:8&9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast."

PRESCHOOL
Miss Ginny started at Immanuel in August 2022 and just loves teaching the little ones about Jesus and His love for them.
For the 2023-24 school year, we also have Ms. Darla Marcotte as a para for the morning 4-year-old group.

Education background: Graduated from University of Northwestern St. Paul in Minnesota
Where did you grow up: Byron, MN
Hobbies: Watching my kids in sports, canning vegetables from our garden, and reading.
Unique talent or fact: I wanted to be a teacher since I was in 2nd grade!
Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 22:37: "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind."

Hobbies: Hanging out with my family (Adam, Quinnlyn, and Ryker), reading, traveling, snowmobiling
Unique talent or fact: I did part of my student teaching in Australia.
Favorite Bible verse: Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you shale find. Knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Where did you grow up: Phoenix, Arizona
Hobbies: Flute, music, dance, nature photography
Unique talent or fact: I taught at Rochester Community and Technical College for 10 years, and I had my own newspaper column featuring local musicians in the Post-Bulletin.
Favorite Bible verse: Romans 8:38: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Education background: Hotel and restaurant manager certification
Where did you grow up: I grew up in Minnesota until age 12, then moved to Freeport, Illinois until 1997 when I moved back to Plainview, MN.
Hobbies: Crafting, travel, gardening, spending time with grandchildren
